UK Speed Thrash from the 80s

BAND: Sacrilege
COUNTRY: United Kingdom
ALBUM: Within the Prophecy
GENRE: Crossover Thrash

NOTES:
An awesome Crossover Thrash (Later Doom Metal) band from the 80s with vocalist Lynda Simpson, who can definitely rival Ann Boleyn and the late Dawn Crosby.

The album is full of amazing riffs. I swear to god this shit is awesome.

Thrash With An Axe!

Local thrash metal act from around my parts.
Band that isn't trying to bring thrash back or spread filthy retro thrash; just good, clean fun... with an axe!

Band: Sarcofago
Album: INRI
Genre: Black Metal / Thrash Metal

Notes:
Before Ohlin's suicide, Aarseth's murder, years before Vikernes' trial, before Faust killed a Homo, two decades before Gaahl stepped out of the closet, before the the Church burnings in Norway and before the following in Norway itself bloomed, There was a band from Brazil along with three others that pioneered their own scene. That band was Sarcofago.

Black Metal nerds often brag about the digital copies of their Grim Frostbitten Norwegian bands and how kvlt and tr00 they are by listening to bands like Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Emperor and Burzum (Not that these bands are bad, in fact the said bands are amazing) without even knowing the Hellish bands from latin america.

Sarcofago might not be as notorious as Mayhem, but they had their fair shares of hooligan actions. Years before the Norwegian scene burned churches and were killing each other, Sarcofago were busy stealing Brazil's Virgin Mary statues (No one knows what they did with it)
and pissing on the grave of Jesus of Nazareth.

Wagner Lamounier was Sepultura's old vocalist and from what I've heard, his butthurtness over that shit was the reason that he formed Sarcofago, and he definitely proved that he (band) can be better than Sepultura. Now he's a professor of Economic Sciences in some Brazilian university me thinks.

Sarcofago is one of the bands that pioneered the modern Latin American BM along with bands like Chakal, Holocausto and Mutilator.

Zum Crozzover Zrazh ya?

Shock Troopers - Shock Troopers

This band hails from Italia and sings about beer a lot, but in a good way. Where as a lot of the Stateside and UK bands use it as their only lyrical device to point out how totally cool and hardcore they are... these guys... uhh... ...do the same? the truly special thing about this band was this was the first thrash band my thrash hating friend liked.

Also, pre-warning 96kb, 's been like that since I got it.

tl;dr?
It good. U listen.

The Lord of the Sith

Artist: Sithlord
Album: The Return to Godless Times
Genre: Thrash Metal the way it should be.

Download (Mediafire)

Notes:
My favorite Thrash Metal band.
If you're into Thought Industry, 80's Metallica, or Iced Earth, then this isn't the band for you, faggot. If you are into Ghoul, first three albums Sepultura and Sarcofago, then this will be your new favorite.

Skeletonwitch

Fuckin Skeletonwitch, fuck yes! Alright, so Skeletonwitch is a black/death/thrash band, another of those crazy crossover bands. So yeah, Skeletonwitch is a very good band, I got their albums Beyond The Permafrost and At One With The Shadows, which I'm going to share with you today. I gotta say first that Beyond The Permafrost does NOT disappoint, it delivers and keeps on delivering, and At One With The Shadows (which I checked out after, I'm all out of order) sounds very similar, only it includes more of a black metal sound to the vocals, whereas the vocals on BTP sound very death metal with high shrieks here and there. Anyway, this band is fucking brilliant, I wish I'd found them sooner than I did, but you can't do much about that. Their blend of bay-area thrash metal mixed with Blackened Death is fucking splendid, they hail from Athens, Ohio, and they are a band that gets around, so if they're near you, go see them. If nothing else, go see them for me, since I will never have such a chance. Life choice tip: Don't move to Hawaii if you're a metal fan.

Two Great Thrash Albums (Znowhite and Paradox)

These albums have become two of my all time favorite thrash albums. They have exactly what I've always been looking for, crushing riffs, speed, great composition, great vocals. A must for any fan of thrash.

Coroner

I checked these guys out on a whim a few months ago, because for one, I had heard very little by them, and two, a website I buy CDs/movies from had their first four albums on there for pretty reasonable prices, so I decided to look into them.

I was really damn impressed by these guys; catchy memorable riffs, some damn good vocals, all blended well with the bass and drums. I don't think Coroner need much of a
n introduction really, so I'm just gonna end my little rant here, and let you guys enjoy these Technical Thrash gods. :)
