Down

Alright, alright! Here are Down's albums Down II: A Bustle In Your Hedgerow and Down III: Over The Under. Down is a super group from New Orleans members from such acts as Corrosion of Conformity, Superjoint Ritual, Crowbar, Eyehategod, and Kingdom of Sorrow. I'm a big fan of Phil Anselmo and of the Sludge metal genre, so I was drawn to Down like a fly to a zap light. I was met with Down II, a marvelous album altogether, very well put together. Frustrated and angry, absolutely beautiful composition. I am truly sorry that I don't have their first album NOLA, but I can't find it anywhere I go. Gotta keep looking.

Even if you aren't a fan of sludge, this is a very easy band to get into, Phil really shows his vocal talents, and Pepper Keenan throws out some really great riffs.
