Notes: The band is fairly famous in the Japanese rock scene, they've been around since the early 80's and have consistently released material throughout their career. The album 13Kai Wa Gekou finds them utilizing a darker, goth-rock sound mixed with their standard poppy Rock styles, and it can be very pleasing. Good for a fan of japanese music, or anyone who can appreciate pop-stylings in a darker format. Standout tracks include "Doukeshi A" and "Romance -Incubo-".

As Dan continues to plague me with adoration for Emilie Autumn, the more I am obliged to help with his fanboy/fangirlism. Opheliac is by far one of the biggest masterpieces in her entire discography.

This piece somehow managed to move me through my sophmore year of high school, as I remember. To the point it is an orgasmically artistic and downright beautiful album. One of my very favorites in my music library to this day.

By faggot demand, I've uploaded Miss Autumn's instrumental double album. Emilie Autumn is several things including a musician, lady of numerous instruments and the only fake redhead ever Amanda approved in the history of mankind. The first disc, Laced, is a reissue of her debut album On A Day. Performed in the baroque violin style it is several classical tracks recited by herself along with the occasional harpsichord.

My favorite, however, is Unlaced. Unlaced is the second disc and electric violin entirely written and composed by her, complete with not only electric violin but moar harpsichord, some drums, and electronic noise. Truly both pieces are beautiful; Laced I use to relax and Unlaced to stir up inspiration and energy while drawing or painting or whatever the fuck I do.

Anyways, do I recommend it? Yes. Do I need to post some Traditional Goth Rock and friends rather than this new-fangled techno blahdedah? Yes. Still reccommend it though, more than anything else.

The Birthday Massacre

The Birthday Massacre are a fun little Synthrock group I got into a year or so ago while looking for music to play at a friend's birthday party. Days after the birthday party, I realized I still had their 2007 album Walking with Strangers still sitting on my computer, and decided to give it a listen, assuming that I probably wouldn't like it.
I was very, very, wrong.
The second after the first song was over, I began searching for their other material, and after hearing all of it, I realized I really enjoyed this group, bought their latest album, and introduced them to my friends. The Birthday Massacre, as I said, are a very fun and enjoyable group, and yes, granted, they have a female singer which appeals to many male/female teenagers, but you find yourself looking beyond their lead singer and focus on the band as a whole.
