Furia - Płoń

ARTIST: Furia
ALBUM: Płoń
NATIONALITY: Poland
GENRE: black metal

"Furia is empty words and sounds, cold as world around.
Grim poems about nothing, forest prayers to fire.
Dance with the Devil.
Hatred itself."

this is my favorite black metal release of 2009 so far, and it's just an MCD!
feat. members of Massemord; for fans of Drudkh, this will probably get your rocks off.

かわいいバンド!!!!

バンド:凛として時雨
国:日本
アルバム:Feeling your UFO
ジャンル:Indiecore / J-Rock

Acrid - hard fucking core

ARTIST: Acrid
ALBUM: Eighty-Six 12" + split w/ Left For Dead
NATIONALITY: Burlington, ON, Canada
GENRE: hardcore punk, grind

I believe I have found one of the most pissed off, heavy, fast, and abrasive bands in all of hardcore punk. Grinding hardcore with a sludgy sting, these guys played with the likes of Assuck and Charles Bronson back in 1998. Five-piece, female bassist, groovy distorted as fuck guitars, and a vocalist (and back-up) with glass in his screaming throat. Canadians with an overflow of hate, they show plenty of metal influence and keep every song interesting with pounding riffs and solid song structure. It also seems that the drummer actively melds well into the sound of the rest of the band, not merely blast-beatting away.

Totalt Jävla Mörker

ARTIST: Totalt Jävla Mörker
ALBUM: Människans Ringa Värde
NATIONALITY: Skellefteå, SWE
GENRE: crust punk, swedish hardcore

pounding, powerful crust punk with a touch of d-beat and grind. heavy riffs, great vocals, and fast and overall entertaining execution make this one a keeper. lyrical content includes: police brutality, capitalism, propaganda, elections, current foreign issues (in Gaza, particularly). so if you understand Swedish, enjoy the smart lyrics along with the songwriting.

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

BAND: Ossein
COUNTRY: United States of America
ALBUM: Declination
GENRE: Atmospheric / Experimental / Black Metal / Post-Rock (IMO)

Notes:
I've seen a rise in Farmer/Liberal Black Metal discussion lately, mainly by people who are mislead as to what Black Metal is.

So I decided to post this little gem. A band 3 years younger than their Cherry Picking counterparts and one that is very enjoyable as far as opinions go.

The band is VERY original and isn't one that would rip their Wisconsin (Correct me if I'm wrong) Bonfire marshmallow eating counterpart Wolves in the Throne Room, but there certainly are a few influence here and there and if you've never heard of WitTR you'd think that these guys do it better than WitTR.

They also have the same Ideals (If you're into Musical Ideologies) They're both Leftists or somesort... Yeah, just thought I'd throw that in there..

Yadda Yadda Yadda insert more text that no one would read...

Oh, I tried to find my high res album pic but failed so forgive me, guys. Have their band pic and logo instead.

EDIT: The post below this awesome btw, so check it out.

Ved Buens Ende

Ved Buens Ende is a truly unique band from Norway.  Playing an onslought of doom inspired black metal riffs truly crowns these men as kings of Avant-garde music.  Drony monotone vocals mix with guitar riffs spewing from the void of space and time.  Give it a listen and I know you wont be disapointed.

Naked Whipper - Painstreaks

Kvlt Grind/Black Metal from Germany. Evil, filthy and a truly vicious assault with some winks towards Canadian War Black Metal.

Sunn O))) - Monoliths & Dimensions

Sunn's seventh full-length thus far. Enjoy, this is only it's second day in the leaking drains, in case you didn't get your hands on it yet.

Link from bunalti.com, I'm sure you all will be able to survive one Rapidshit.

Tor Lundvall - Empty City

Scenery fits the music perfectly. Or was it the other way around? Possibly even more evocative than the Mist, my personal favourite. A little bit less sparse, perhaps, and more tangible.

Katamari Fortissimo Damacy

Soundtrack from the hit game. Its lovely and weird and adorable in all the right places. Perfect for car rides or just making any other inane activity slightly sillier. ^_^

Biosphere - Patashnik

This album is prior to Biosphere and still dabbles it toes in the less beatless regions of Ambient.
Enjoy it, took me four tries to upload it.

Tor Lundvall - The Mist

A fairly big image of this album's cover this time, because it is a perfect representation of Tor Lundvall's ghost ambient. I even believe that he painted this cover himself. This lush, thick yet sparse music manages to captivate that which is elusive the moment you listen to it. Odd, innit?

I uploaded this for fans of Biosphere.

diSEMBOWELMENT - Transcendence into the Peripheral

Ultimate fucking madness. This Australian outfit combines pulverizing Death/Doom with grinding interludes, enthralling vocals and insane drumwork. Y'know, apocalypse in audial form. A band many have heard of but too few have heard and felt.

Krokodil

Location: Switzerland
Era: Late 60's/Early 70's
Movement: Krautrock
Genre: Psychedelic Progressive Rock

Krokodil were one of those groups that were gone as quick as they came. However, the legacy they left behind is one that any self-respecting Prog fan could truly appreciate. While their first album took on a much more Blues-Rock sound, Swamp showed the transition to a more Psychedelic sound, one that was truly exemplified on their 1971 release, what many Krok fans would consider their magnum opus, An Invisible World Revealed.

Klimt 1918 - Just In Case We'll Never Meet Again

Artist: Klimt 1918
Genre: Shoegaze/Atmospheric Rock
Country: Italy

Klimt 1918@Metal Archives

The latest release from the band finds them exploring more "wall of sound" type soundscapes, attempting new things with distorted atmospheres but keeping the same nostalgic slight sadness to the whole deal. A wonderful album with wondrous movement.

Be lost...

Johnny Cash if Johnny Cash was ridiculously dark and morbid.

Those Poor Bastards - Country Bullshit
Those Poor Bastards - Hellfire Hymns
Those Poor Bastards - Songs of Desperation
Those Poor Bastards - The Plague
Those Poor Bastards - Satan is Watching

sorry, far too lazy to post album covers right now.

Optimum Wound Profile

Featuring members of Extreme Noise Terror, this "industrial" punk band is definitely something worth checking out. Thrash influence is there, too.

Also, you might want to fix the album tag after you download. I up'd it as "Asphixia." Oops. :P

saturday night and I'm feverous

local act SALOME: slow. heavy. female-fronted. doom.

Salome - Salome (66.6 MB)

next is Fall of Efrafa, a heavy, crusty, experimental post-hardcore, post-rockish band whose unique music is based upon "a re-imagining of the mythological and political overtones in the book "watership down" by Richard Adams, focusing their efforts in forwarding atheist/animal rights ideologies". long, heavy, dark, almost depressive stuff. here are the first two of the three-part set entitled "The Warren of Snares", as well as the track "Tharn":

Fall of Efrafa - Owsla
OWSLA (meaning warrior or defender), the first record, created the narrative of an unnamed society in the final throws of a war against mankind. A society that still clings to the dwindling beliefs of its elders, yet struggles to break free of stagnating ideology.

Fall of Efrafa - Elil
ELIL (meaning enemy, or predator)was their second full length and dealt with these beliefs, and the oppressive reign of religious indoctrination. In this chapter, the society finally overthrows the rule of their god, Frith.

The final chapter, which they are currently writing, is called INLE (meaning both death, and the name of a deific character within the societies beliefs) This is the final recording effort of Fall of efrafa, and also the end of the trilogy. It will deal with hope in the face of death. (Fall '09 Release)

Fall of Efrafa - Tharn

many thanks to Seeeing Red for everything.

what better way to finish off your Saturday than with 3 Way Cum?
one of my current favorite crust punk bands, these releases take a load of metal influence and shove it down the throat of crust punk, taking their sound to a very dirty, crushing edge.
