ARTIST: Worship
ALBUM: Last Tape/Vinyl/CD Before Doomsday (Demo)
NATIONALITY: Germany
GENRE: Funeral Doom

This is the only demo released by Worship while Max Varnier was in the band. Not two years later, Max committed suicide jumping off a bridge.

This demo is an essential for any Funeral Doom, or any Doom fan at all. It's heavy, oppressive and depressing. It's easily seen that Max poured his despair into this Demo.

Theatre of Tragedy - Aegis

Artist: Theatre of Tragedy
Album: Aegis
Genre: Gothic Metal
Year: 1999

Before Liv Kristine became a wannabe-Black Metal midget's whorecandy in a cheap single that's only purpose was to fill a slot on the Resident Evil soundtrack, she actually had talent. Back before Theatre switched over to the shitty side of electronic music they created masterpieces of astounding beauty. What I'm referring to is Aegis.

Aegis is a hypnotic, but sirenic album that gives me high points of inspiration whenever I'm doing hippie-dippy art stuff. While it did take me a while to get used to it (some of the songs at first annoyed me) it was worth it. I noticed that all of the tracks are names of women which contributes a romantic tone to the album (Cassandra, Samantha, Lorelei, Angelique) and at the same time are coincidentally similar names to me (Six weeks after I was born, my great-grandmother thought my name was Samantha instead of Amanda, and Samantha was my nickname in 8th grade because one of the teachers said I reminded her of Samantha from Bewitched).

And as a special treat, I got the version that includes bonus tracks (Virago and Samantha). If you never gave a listen to TOT, ignore their later albums and pay homage to this one.

Three is better than one

I'm going to post three shits here and the reasons are as followed:

1. Because I'll be gone for god knows how long, I'm going to France and I'll be hitting on ze frenchies.

2. To drown the other post by the other authors here.

3. Just so that Amanda's post isn't the last thing I'll see before I depart.

4. I've been reading too much conspiracy theory shit and I am scared as fuck.

5. I love Babybel, you know, those really awesome cheesse shit from france.

First up is Wigrid, the brainchild of some German farmer from Saarbrucken named Ulfhednir.

What I have here is Wigrid's "Hoffnungstod" which is "Hope's Death" in english.
The first time I heard of these shit was back in The Ultimate Metal blah blah forum, and people were dissing this as another Burzum wannabe, and this is what I'm going to tell you.
WARNING TO PURISTS.
Wigrid's Hoffnungstod is a great release and not just that, *Dare I say it..* This maybe better than any shit that Burzum ever released (Except Hvis Lyset Tar Oss)
Sure it owes everything to Burzum but unlike Burzum, Wigrid doesn't rely on controversy or pad albums with pretentious attempts at ritual ambient music. Wigrid's music is, of course, black metal of the forlorn and depressive kind. Layers of buzzing guitars create as much white noise as they do melody. Ulfhednir's desperate yelps trail off behind the wash of sorrowful sound, it's actually quite serene.

Well anyway, Hoffnungstod was released in a tape back in 2000 and it was limited to 88 copies.

ARTIST: Wigdir
ALBUM: Hoffnungstod
GENRE: Black Metal / Ambient
COUNTRY: Germany

TRACKLIST:
1. Leere
2. Die Entstehung
3. Angesicht Gottes
4. Hoffnungstod
5. A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit (Burzum Cover)

UH-OH! Dan posted a Doom Metal shit...

Apparently the majority of the members/authors
of the fucking Blog are either a Gothic Suicidal Angst ridden 18 year old girl OR....a Doom fan..wow, that's a surprise..yeah.

Anyway, this will be my first Doom Metal post, well except Zuriaake.

This here is Earth's Extra-Capsular Extraction EP, Released back in 1991, the year when Grunge Rock took over and gave MTV more fucking chance to be an asshole.

Anyway, I really don't give shit about this much, since I've outgrown Doom Metal. so here motherfuckers.

PS: Happy now Antonio? motherfucking weed smoking forest dwelling cam whore.

PSSS: Also this is the album that started DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE...

Third Post....Maybe tomorrow before I leave, I'm too fucking lazy.

Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses and October Rust

Artist: Type O Negative
Album: Bloody Kisses and October Rust
Genre: Gothic Metal/Alternative/Other
Year: 1993 and 1996

Of course, I must continue my legacy of goffik/puhnck/elektroo crap. Today's contributation is mainstream yet funny Gothic Metal band Type O Negative, one of the very few decent bands under the name of Roadkill Roadrunner Records.

Nowadays they lay in the same pile of shit-bearing spew as their labelmates but years ago they were good. I've uploaded two of their best albums in my opinion, October Rust and Bloody Kisses.

Bloody Kisses I've grown more of a liking to. Ever since I got it, it has supplied some of the finest and shittiest moments of my life. It is at times somber, but mostly humorous. Chances are if you don't download it Petey Steele is going to rip you a new one and call you a fag, but figuring 99.9999999999999999999% of the authors of this blog are homoerotic assclowns it'd be a good music library addition regardless whether you're as straight as Burt Reynolds or frutier than Dan Rogers.

PLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAASE DOOOOOOOOOOOOONNN'TT GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

EDIT: In my freshman year, this chick that was the kind of slut that acted boyish to hang out with dudes went on about how hot Petey Steele was. I strongly disagree.

Japanese Hardcore at its Best!

The era was the 80's, the time when Metal bands were heralded as Gods, the time when Punk introduced Hardcore, the time when nobody give shit about your hair, the time when eastern europe got sick of of being equal with each other, and the time when Lucas released the last two episodes of Star Wars....Yeah, good times the 80's was..Too bad I wasn't born until 1990.

Anyway, what I have here is G.I.S.M, one of the, if not BEST Hardcore band that the land of the rising sun ever produced.

What I'm going to share with you assholes here is the original pressing of G.I.S.M's DETESTation, which is out of print and sought after by collectors who aren't afraid to cough up a couple of Jeffersons.
A copy of this shit could reach up to $800 and I'm not fucking with you here.

Anyway, I'm a bit drunk and I don't have much time, so here.

PS. Antonio only listens to slow boring shit, also say it like a man FUCK YOU! I still love you though.

Taiwan's Finest

When we hear of Black Metal and Taiwan, what's the first thing that comes to our mind?
Definetely Asia's very own Cradle of Filth which is Chthonic right?
Well, 黑冥煞 (Inferno Requiem) is definitely no Chthonic clone, this shit is pure fucking raw black metal, the kind of music that would remind you of the 90's black metal scene.

'Tank Girl' Soundtrack

Tank Girl Soundtrack

Artist: Various
Album: 'Tank Girl' Motion Picture Soundtrack
Genre: Various
Year: 1995

Truth be told, I am a huge faggot for comic book movies. And one of my very favorite and also my current obsession is the movie Tank Girl. The movie's based on an underground punk comic from the mid-eighties and into the early ninties and somehow caught Homowood's attention and was made into a B-list movie.

Getting off topic from the movie and onto appropriate emphasis is the soundtrack itself. After listening to it I had a thought occur into my mind that was "Hey, Bjork wrote one cool song!". Too bad the bitch can't learn proper English so it was a tad difficult to fully get what she was saying immeadiantly. Anyways, my favorite tracks happen to be 'Army Of Me' (Bjork), 'Girl U Want' (Devo), 'Let's Do It' (Joan Jett and Paul Westerberg), and 'Bomb' (Bush). Feel free to be an immature loser about the name of the last mentioned band.

If you feel an interest in watching the movie, please let me know or go get Netflix. Iggy Pop has a cameo as a pedophile at a futuristic strip club, Ice-T plays a pissed off kangaroo/human mutant creature, Tori Petty in one scene has a missile-shaped bra on and three Spice Girls auditioned for the role of Tank Girl.

Emilie Autumn - Opheliac

Emilie Autumn

Artist: Emilie Autumn
Album: Opheliac
Genre: Industrial/Gothic/Darwave/Post-Punk
Year: 2007

As Dan continues to plague me with adoration for Emilie Autumn, the more I am obliged to help with his fanboy/fangirlism. Opheliac is by far one of the biggest masterpieces in her entire discography.

This piece somehow managed to move me through my sophmore year of high school, as I remember. To the point it is an orgasmically artistic and downright beautiful album. One of my very favorites in my music library to this day.

DOUBT THOU THE STARS ARE FIIIIIIRE

Peter White

I don't remember how I got into this guy in the first place really. I either downloaded his music on a whim, or heard it on an online radio station, or something. Either way, this man is amazing. I love nearly all of his work, he's such a talented Jazz guitarist. He's one of the Jazz artists I know that'd be great to listen to as you're kicking back drinking a fine beverage (wine, iced tea, etc.) either alone, or with someone. Sometimes there's people singing on his albums, and they do a remarkable job.
He's done two Christmas albums, and personally of the two, I prefer Songs of the Season. Overall? Caravan of Dreams and Glow I tend to claim as my favorite albums; but with a guy like Peter White, it's hard to have a favorite album, it really is.
Again, enjoy. :)

Emilie Autumn - Laced/Unlaced

Emilie Autumn

Artist: Emilie Autumn
Album: Laced/Unlaced
Genre: Gothic/Industrial/Darkwave/Post-Punk
Year: 2007

By faggot demand, I've uploaded Miss Autumn's instrumental double album. Emilie Autumn is several things including a musician, lady of numerous instruments and the only fake redhead ever Amanda approved in the history of mankind. The first disc, Laced, is a reissue of her debut album On A Day. Performed in the baroque violin style it is several classical tracks recited by herself along with the occasional harpsichord.

My favorite, however, is Unlaced. Unlaced is the second disc and electric violin entirely written and composed by her, complete with not only electric violin but moar harpsichord, some drums, and electronic noise. Truly both pieces are beautiful; Laced I use to relax and Unlaced to stir up inspiration and energy while drawing or painting or whatever the fuck I do.

Anyways, do I recommend it? Yes. Do I need to post some Traditional Goth Rock and friends rather than this new-fangled techno blahdedah? Yes. Still reccommend it though, more than anything else.

Dammit, Amanda.

Ayria Discography

Photobucket

Ayria is an electronic-industrial/synth-pop/EBM project from Jennifer Parkin, ex-singer of Epsilon Minus. Jennifer left Epsilon Minus to create her own project freely, producing such albums like Debris all the way to her upcoming Hearts For Bullets (or something like that).

For those of you who enjoy electronica and are techno-faggots like me and Alex, you'll enjoy. Ayria ranges on different sounds and emotions throughout her discography and in my opinion is one hot piece of Canadian ass.

The only thing I do not like is the consistent making of remixes following her albums. Both albums have an additional disc of remixes of songs from the accompaning album, and the EPs are nothing more but remixes. Unless you have a very low tolerance for remixes and electronica and if you're a flaming homo, don't get this discography.

Mouth of the Architect - Quietly

Artist
: Mouth of the Architect
Album: Quietly
Genre: Post-Rock/Sludge Metal

  1. Quietly "10:34"
  2. Hate And Heartache "7:34"
  3. Pine Boxes "3:55"
  4. Guilt And The Like "7:39"
  5. Generation of Ghosts "10:08"
  6. Rocking Chairs And Shotguns "6:52"
  7. Medicine "1:58"
  8. A Beautiful Corpse "7:04"
The latest opus from this crushingly intricate Sludge act. I've managed to only spin it once so far, but it's definitely a great maturing for them. They've managed to actually bring in some female vocals, along with vocal harmonies from the main band members. The song-writing is even more elaborate and vibrant than the previous full-lengths. You'll still know exactly who you're listening to as the good ole' sound has been retained, but you can tell that they've done a lot of work to creating something incredibly passionate while striving to implement fresh new riffs that don't get to stale or drag on. This is a must have for the new year. Mouth of the Architect has done it again!
